question, why is it a bad thing if i stand out? :(

i was talking to someone about random stuff, and then i realized that every time i put my opinion in a matter, she says im in the wrong. why? cause society says so. for example, talking about music. if a jb song or a one direction song comes up, i would react saying that i love their music, and then she would say ''eww no theyre music is horrible. everyone hates them'' another example is when we were talking about the latest evolution in pokemon, which is the ''mega'' evolution. i honostly dont like it, but i wouldnt force my dislike on others. yet she told me im weird cause everyone likes megas except me, and that i need to change my opinion.........................
